1. DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) – identifies where the malfunction occurred. Tool can retrieve and display Generic (P0, P2, P3, and U0) and Manufacturer Specific (P1, P3, and U1) codes.
2. Tool Icons – help to identify the tool’s current connection status
3. I/M Readiness Monitor Status – indicates all supported monitors of the vehicle under test and helps identify if they have completed their diagnostic self-tests - ideal for confirming repairs and preparing for a State emissions test.
4. Pending Code – identifies a code that could turn into a potential problem.
5. MIL (Check Engine Light) Status – helps to verify that the Check Engine light was commanded on.
6. DTC Sequence Number – shows displayed code sequence number over total number of codes retrieved. Code 01 always indicates the code that commanded the 7. MIL on and contains stored Freeze Frame data.
8. Freeze Frame Icon – this icon is shown when the displayed code contains Freeze Frame information. Freeze Frame is basically a “snap-shot” of what was going on when the problem occurred. The included OBD2 TekLink(TM) software can display this information.
